Dayy in the Life series

A recurring behind-the-scenes series for Payy that made the team visible without turning culture into an ad.

Payy / brief

What had to happen

Payy wanted a casual, repeatable culture series. The challenge was making the company feel human without forcing a startup montage.

Role

Produced a repeatable format, captured the team in motion, and cut episodes for social distribution.

Outcome

A product company that felt more human to recruits, users, and the audience already watching the team.

Behind the scenes

How the piece was built

The final video is the visible part. The useful work is deciding what to capture, what to skip, and how the footage should serve the rollout.

01

Create a repeatable format

The series used a structure simple enough to repeat but loose enough to feel like a real day instead of a template.

02

Keep the camera close to the culture

The production looked for jokes, desk moments, food, travel, work, and small rituals that make a team feel specific.

03

Edit for warmth, not polish alone

The cuts kept rougher human moments when they made the company easier to like. The goal was familiarity, not a perfect brand film.

Asset system

What the production turned into

Each shoot is planned with the rollout in mind: hero cut, follow-ups, social posts, and usable selects.

01

Recurring episodes

A repeatable social format that could keep showing the team without reinventing the idea every time.

02

Culture clips

Shorter moments that could stand alone for recruiting, community, and founder-led distribution.

03

Team archive

A growing bank of human footage that makes future company storytelling easier.
